Gifty on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, took to Snapchat to share a nude photo of herself in the bathroom. She has however deleted the already trending photo. Way to go Gifty! Way to go! On February 19, 2017, Gifty became the fourth housemate to get evicted from the Big Brother Naija reality show.
AY Makun
Comedian AY has apologised over his insensitive TBoss and Kemen joke over the Easter weekend.
The actor who was dragged on social media over a joke he told at his annual comedy show AY Live 2017 took to social media today, April 19, 2017, to apologise.
According to him he is no way, shape and form a supporter of assault on women.
"I know a lot of people did not see the joke before lashing on me… and no amount of me trying to explain myself would do me any good which is why I am uploading it so Nigerians and indeed all fans of the AY brand will be fully informed.
I want to apologise to @officialTboss_, the entire Tboss nation and Nigerians who interpreted the joke to be promoting rape. It was never my intention to come across as a supporter of any form of assault to women.
I was only touched and inspired to share the joke when I learnt that Kemen came out alongside other church members when Pastor Paul Adefarasin asked those under immense pressure to the point of wanting to commit suicide to step out for prayers. Also coupled with the fact that he had personally apologised to Tboss after he was disqualified.
Like I said in the joke, I have a wife and a daughter, and I will never be in support of any such action that is designed to promote rape or any form of sexual assault that will demean womanhood."
While on stage AY brought the contestants of the Big Brother Naija reality show and spoke about the 'rapey' incident between Kemen and Tboss.
AY normalised Kemen's actions and said every man in his position would do the same thing. He also added that Nigerians "encourage this young man, he no kill person" in reference to Kemen.
Nigerians have since been lashing at him on social media with fans calling it distasteful and insensitive.
AY gave another apology on entertainment satellite TV station Hip TV.
"People came out and said 'I didn't just like the way you delivered your joke and it didn't land will because it's climbing on an issue that a lot of people do not find funny.' On that note I will always step out to apologise and to the Tboss family, Tboss herself, her brother, the rest of her families and the Tboss nation, I am just going to say I am sorry for finding out that you guys misunderstood my joke. It's just pure comedy" said AY.
